Adam's Story

People say and think at times “everything happens for a reason” well on Saturday January 22, 2011 we found that maybe that saying can’t be true.

Adam Helbling a 2005 Stow-Munroe Falls High School graduate and a senior in Civil Engineering at The Ohio State University found himself in his car tumbling through a field. Adam suffered serious injuries to his spinal cord. The news, still surreal for all of us and is too much to believe sometimes.

Adam spent three weeks in Indianapolis Methodist Hospital before being transported to MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio at Cleveland Metro Hospital.

Just hours after the accident, well-wishers posted on his facebook wall to be ‘strong’. We all know that Adam is a fighter and is strong. If there is a “will” and a “way”, Adam will find it.

In this time of tragedy we ask all of you to please band together and help the Helbling family. As Adam is fighting to recover, his medical bills will far exceed his medical lifetime insurance in just a short time.

Please be “angels of god” and open your hearts(and wallets) during this time of need.
