We have several ski positions available at camp. A total of 15 positions. We still have about 5 male positions remaining and 2/3 female positions. We also have a ski director position still available, which would obviously pay more.

Our Camps: Considered among the finest overnight camps in America, we have a 90% camper return rate and we hire staff from all over the world. Average age of our staff is at least 21 each year. Our staff come from all over the states, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America and Europe. We hire 230 people for the summer and have over 1300 campers come through our camp each summer. Campers are aged between 7-15 and stay at camp for 2, 4 or 8 weeks.
About the Job: All of our counselors are hired for a dual role: as a cabin counselor, living with a group of boys / girls and a couple of co-counselors; and as an activity instructor – we have 40 activities at camp and all of our campers have an elective schedule. Waterskiing is the most popular activity at camp, and therefore considered a key component of our program. Live on the lake, teach what you love and ski every day!
Location: We are located in a small town called Decatur. It’s in southwest Michigan, about 2 ½ hours from Chicago. The nearest big city is Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Salary: Varies depending on age, level of experience and position. All living and meal expenses are covered. Counselors live at camp. Salary starts at $2000 for 9 weeks but would be much higher for ski director position. We also pay more if you are a lifeguard (or can certify you at camp if you are not already a lifeguard).
Dates: Standard dates for camp are from June 12th – August 14th. If you are able to come early or stay late, you will be compensated more.
