2010 Midwest Collegiate Regionals

Welcome to the 2010 Midwest Collegiate Regionals, hosted by the University of Illinois Waterski Team and PITS Ski Club! This Skier’s Guide is intended to communicate important information about the tournament and ski site. Please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a safe and fun tournament for all:
General
-Pets must be on a leash
-No campfires allowed except for the main campfire between the pavilion and judge’s tower.
-No glass bottles allowed on site
-10 mph speed limit on site
Parking
Parking at the site will be tight! Previous Regionals saw a significant increase in number of vehicles on site, which made parking and getting around very difficult at times.
The following guidelines will ensure best use of available space:
-Keep PITS road clear at all times.
-Automobile parking permitted east of PITS road.
-No parking west of PITS road, in camping area, or towboat/RV areas.
-Buses/RV’s: parking permitted only south of creek directly across from boathouse.
Please send this information on to any parents or friends who will be attending the tournament.
Tournament and Registration
-Registration will be open until midnight Thursday and then be open 6:00-8:00 am Friday morning.
-For teams arriving late, please be sure to designate someone to register your team on Friday morning before skiing starts, and the deadline is 1 hour before the tournament starts.

-Skiing will begin at 9:00 am Friday and 7:30 am Saturday and Sunday.
-Practice will be available for $10 per set on Thursday from 5:00 pm until sundown.
-Concessions will be available beginning Friday morning and last the duration of the tournament.
-Friday and Saturday dinner is provided for all skiers and officials—guests may purchase a
plate for $5.
- Fees - One event - $35. Two or three events - $40. Team Fee - $30.
- Schedule: Friday – Women’s Slalom, Men’s Slalom
Saturday – Men’s Trick, Women’s Jump, Women’s Trick (Time Permitting)
Sunday – Men’s Jump (If there is more Women’s Trick to finish, that will occur before Men Jump).
- There will be a short Captain’s meeting for all teams at 8:30am Friday morning before the skiing starts.
- There will be a Regional Meeting for all teams in attendance at the conclusion of skiing Saturday Night.
- THEME: YOU ARE WATER SKI EQUIPMENT. Don’t wear the equipment, dress AS the equipment. Get creative: (ramps, docks, skis, buoys, ropes, boats, towels, tents, etc.)
